Car Park Roller Shutter

These shutters look great, and are suitable for large residential apartments, commercial or office buildings and shopping centres, Able Doors’ carpark roller shutters differ from standard steel roller shutters, as they are specifically designed for busy, high-cycle functioning.

Able Doors custom build your car park shutters locally, right here in our factory at Wetherill Park, Sydney. We manufacture curtains of interlocking extruded steel slats in 50mm, 75mm or 100mm profile and galvanised steel in gauges from 0.6mm to 1mm. Every second slat Is secured with a steel or nylon end clip. The bottom rail is constructed with extruded aluminium or steel and interlocks into the curtain.

Custom options

The shutters can be supplied as solid steel, or customised with slots or perforations for ventilation, to achieve up to a 37% airflow.

We use conventional sprung drums or Dead Lift motor gear boxes with safety brakes to provide quieter motion. Anti-rattle devices can be fitted into the guides to further reduce the roller shutter’s operation noise.

Depending on your needs, you can choose head or side panel construction, and the bottom rail has an optional rubber weather seal available, and even a brush strip for vermin control.

Automation

These carpark roller shutters can be operated manually, or can be fitted with Logic Control Systems including Photo Electric (PE) beams and receivers for fully automated operation.

Want to upgrade the shutters you already have?

The automated systems can be fitted to new or existing roller shutters. Once fitted, the shutter can be operated by remote control, card readers, mill keys and induction loops. Automatic closing and photo electric cells ensure the door closes once a vehicle has safely passed. It also protects against unexpected closing. For high-frequency usage such as in car parks, we use and recommend Dead Lift motors and drums.

Finishes

Choose from a range of colour options in Dulux powder coating, galvanised finish or polyurethane, (which is painted on site). We recommend zinc shield for locations near water.

Materials and sizes

  • We use galvanised steel in gauges from 0.8mm to 1mm and extruded steel for the bottom rail and the interlocking curtain slats, which vary in size as follows:
    • 50mm slat profile – for light Industrial applications
    • 75mm slat profile – for medium Industrial applications
    • 100mm slat profile – for heavy Industrial applications
  • The curtain is secured with a steel or nylon end clips for ease of motion and noise reduction.
  • The guides are folded steel C sections, available in 75mm deep x 32mm wide or 100mm deep x 34mm wide.
  • The drum is manufactured from galvanised steel tubing of custom diameter size and thickness appropriate for the size and application of your project. The drum has self-lubricating bearings turning on a steel shaft with helical springs so as to counterbalance the weight of the curtain, for easier operation.
  • Locking is by automatic gearbox working in conjunction with Logic Control System with PE safety beam and handsets, or wired into you access control system.
